Exploring the expansive world of Hogwarts Legacy reveals numerous hidden treasure maps, each leading players toward unique cosmetic gear and challenging environmental puzzles. Among these quests, the Cursed Tomb Treasure stands out as an intriguing endgame challenge that requires careful navigation, spellcasting prowess, and combat preparation. Unlocking this secret reward requires players to find a buried map, enter a dangerous cavern, and solve a floor tile puzzle.
Finding the Mysterious Map Fragment
To initiate the quest, players must head toward the southern portion of the Highlands near the West Manor Cape Floo Flame. Near the ruined manor, locate a small mausoleum atop a hill featuring a statue next to a brazier. Lighting this brazier using Incendio or Confringo rotates the statue to reveal a hidden passage into the basement.
Once inside the underground cellar, prepare to face waves of Inferi alongside two Infamous Foes. Defeated enemies leave behind access to a locked chest requiring the Alohomora spell. Opening this chest grants the Mysterious Map Fragment, which provides key visual clues needed to find the actual treasure room.
Navigating to the Tomb of Treachery
The map fragment points directly toward the Tomb of Treachery, located near the waterfall region in the northern area of Poidsear Coast. Players can fly straight through the waterfall to find the entrance to the tomb. Inside, follow the winding passages, clear away cobwebs, and defeat scattered dark creatures to reach the main chamber.
Upon reaching the final room, players must solve a moth puzzle to unlock the main door. Using Lumos, guide three nearby moths back to the door's frame to open the sealed chamber. Inside this final hall, another group of Inferi will spawn, which must be cleared before attempting the floor puzzle.
Solving the Floor Tile Puzzle
In the center of the final room lies a grid of nine stone floor tiles. To solve the riddle, stand near the entrance facing the far side of the room and cast Flipendo on specific tiles to flip them over. Specifically, target the top-middle tile along with the bottom-left and bottom-right corner tiles.
Once the correct tiles are flipped to match the pattern on the map, the central structure raises to reveal a hidden chest. Claiming the contents completes the side quest and rewards players with the exclusive Treasure-Seeker's Attire.
